రోగుల సేవలకు ఆటంకం – కఠిన నిర్ణయం: ప్రభుత్వ బోధనాసుపత్రుల్లో రెగ్యులర్ విధానంలో నియామకమై, సొంత వ్యాపకాలతో విధులకు గైర్హాజరవుతున్న వారిపై మంత్రి సీరియస్ అయ్యారు. కొంతమంది వైద్యులు గడిచిన 6-7 ఏళ్ల నుంచి విధులకు రాకపోవడం వల్ల రోగులకు అందే వైద్య సేవలపై తీవ్ర ప్రభావం పడుతోందని ఆయన ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ఏపీ సివిల్ సర్వీసెస్ రూల్స్-1964 ప్రకారం వారికి తగిన సమయం ఇచ్చి, సంజాయిషీ కోరినప్పటికీ స్పందన లేకపోవడంతో ఈ కఠిన నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నట్లు మంత్రి వివరించారు.

మరికొందరిపై త్వరలో చర్యలు: తొలగించిన 51 మంది కాకుండా, మరో 33 మంది వైద్యులకు ప్రభుత్వం ఛార్జిమెమోలు జారీ చేసింది. అలాగే దీర్ఘకాలంగా గైర్హాజరవుతున్న మరో ముగ్గురు ప్రొఫెసర్ల విషయంలోనూ త్వరలో వేటు పడనుందని మంత్రి వెల్లడించారు. ఇప్పటికే ప్రభుత్వం ‘జీరో వేకెన్సీ’ పాలసీ కింద నియామకాలను వేగవంతం చేస్తోందని, విధుల్లో చేరిన వారు బాధ్యతగా పనిచేయాలని సూచించారు. కడప, అనంతపురం, విజయవాడ, విశాఖపట్నం సహా పలు జిల్లాల మెడికల్ కళాశాలలకు చెందిన వైద్యులు ఈ జాబితాలో ఎక్కువగా ఉన్నట్లు సమాచారం.

Amaravati: In a major crackdown on negligence in the health sector, Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Shri Satya Kumar Yadav has ordered the permanent termination of 51 medical professionals for unauthorized absence. According to the Minister Satya Kumar Yadav Health Department Action 2026 official release, the terminated staff includes 8 Associate Professors, 41 Assistant Professors, and 2 Tutors under the Director of Medical Education (DME) limits.

Upholding Accountability in Public Health: The Minister emphasized that the state would not tolerate irresponsibility, especially when it concerns the health of the common man. Many of these doctors have been absent for over six years to pursue private ventures while holding government positions. Despite being served show-cause notices and provided ample time to respond, these individuals failed to report for duty. “We are committed to providing top-notch healthcare, and those disrupting the system through prolonged absence have no place in it,” Satya Kumar Yadav stated firmly.

Zero Vacancy Policy and Future Crackdowns: Further tightening the strings, the department has issued charge memos to an additional 33 doctors who have been irregular for less than a year. The Minister also hinted that three more Professors facing long-term absence would face similar action soon. To bridge the gaps created by these terminations, the government is strictly implementing the ‘Zero Vacancy Policy’ to ensure immediate recruitment in teaching hospitals. The action primarily targets doctors from medical colleges in Vizag, Vijayavada, Tirupati, and Nellore, among others.
