దూకుడు పెంచిన జగన్ : వ్యూహం ఏంటి?

• జమిలి ఎన్నికల ప్రణాళికేనా?

గత ఎన్నికల్లో ఓటమి తర్వాత, వైఎస్సార్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ (వైసీపీ) మళ్లీ దూకుడు పెంచుతోంది. వరుస సమావేశాలు, ప్రజా పరామర్శలతో జగన్ తన కార్యకలాపాలను ముమ్మరం చేశారు.  ఇంకా నాలుగేళ్ళ సమయం ఉన్నా కూడా పార్టీ కేడర్‌కు బలమైన పిలుపునిస్తున్నారు. వారిలో ఉత్సాహం నింపుతున్నారు. సోషల్ మీడియాను అస్త్రంగా చేసుకోవాలని సూచిస్తున్నారు. ఎన్నికల ఎత్తుగడలను నూరిపోస్తున్నారు. మరోవైపు  ప్రభుత్వ వైఫల్యాలను ఎండగట్టేందుకు నిరసన కార్యక్రమాలు నిర్వహిస్తున్నారు. ఇంత తొందరగా ఇంత పెద్ద మార్పు ఎందుకు వచ్చింది? వైఎస్సార్సీపీ వ్యూహం ఏంటి? 

అమరావతి, జూలై 3: 2024 ఎన్నికల్లో కేవలం 11 అసెంబ్లీ సీట్లకే పరిమితమై ఘోర పరాజయం చవిచూసిన వైఎస్సార్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ (వైసీపీ) ఈసారి ఎలాంటి అవకాశాన్ని వదులుకోవడానికి సిద్ధంగా లేదు. గత ఓటమిలోనూ 40 శాతం ఓట్లను సాధించిన విషయాన్ని పార్టీ అధిష్టానం (party high command) గుర్తుంచుకుంటోంది. ఈ ఓటు బ్యాంకును కాపాడుకుంటూ, సహజంగా వచ్చే ప్రభుత్వ వ్యతిరేకతను తమకు అనుకూలంగా మార్చుకోగలిగితే తిరిగి అధికారంలోకి రావడం ఖాయమని వైసీపీ లెక్కలు వేసుకుంటోంది.అందుకు అనుగుణంగానే ప్రణాళికలు వేస్తోంది. ఎక్కడ ఏ సంఘటన జరిగినా వైఎస్సార్సీపీ ప్రభుత్వాన్ని ప్రశ్నిస్తోంది.

జమిలి ఎన్నికలు కలవరపెడుతున్నాయా?

పార్టీ అధ్యక్షుడు వై.ఎస్. జగన్ మోహన్ రెడ్డి ఇటీవల తన కార్యకలాపాలను (activities) గణనీయంగా పెంచారు. పరామర్శ యాత్రలతో పాటు వరుసగా పార్టీ సమీక్షా సమావేశాలు నిర్వహిస్తున్నారు. ఉమ్మడి జిల్లాల ప్రాతిపదికన ప్రారంభమైన పార్టీ సమావేశాలు, జిల్లా అధ్యక్షులు, రీజినల్ కో-ఆర్డినేటర్లు, పీఏసీ సభ్యుల నుండి పార్టీ అనుబంధ విభాగాల వరకు జరుగుతున్నాయి.

అదే సమయంలో, కూటమి ప్రభుత్వ వైఫల్యాలను ప్రజల్లోకి తీసుకెళ్లడానికి పార్టీ ఆందోళన కార్యక్రమాలను (protest programs) నిర్వహిస్తోంది. మిర్చి, పొగాకు రైతుల సమస్యలపై గుంటూరు, పొదిలి పర్యటనలు, వివిధ సందర్భాల్లో అరెస్ట్ అయిన వారిని పరామర్శించడం వంటివి ఇందులో భాగమేనని పార్టీ వర్గాలు చెబుతున్నాయి. ఇక వారంలో ఒకరోజు కచ్చితంగా జగన్ నాయకులు లేదా కార్యకర్తలతో సమావేశాలు, పర్యటనలు లేదా పరామర్శలు ఉండేలా వైసీపీ ప్రణాళిక (plan) వేసుకుంటోంది. ఏం చేసినా ప్రజల్లోకి త్వరగా చేరుకోవాలనేది పార్టీ వ్యూహంగా తెలుస్తోంది.

దీనికి బలమైన కారణం ఉందని వైసీపీ వర్గాల అభిప్రాయం. పార్టీ అధినేత జగన్‌తో సహా పలువురు కీలక నేతలు 2027 చివరిలో లేదా 2028 ప్రారంభంలో జమిలి ఎన్నికలు రావచ్చని బలంగా నమ్ముతున్నారట. అందుకే పార్టీ కార్యక్రమాల వేగాన్ని (speed) పెంచినట్లు చెప్పుకుంటున్నారు. ఇటీవల పలు సమావేశాల్లో మాట్లాడిన జగన్, పార్టీ నాయకులకు, కార్యకర్తలకు జమిలి సంకేతాలు ఇచ్చారు. ఆ దిశగా అందరూ ముందుకు నడవాలని పిలుపునిచ్చి దిశానిర్దేశం చేస్తున్నారు.

వైసీపీ కీలక నేత పెద్దిరెడ్డి రామచంద్రా రెడ్డి కూడా ఇటీవలే జమిలి ఎన్నికలపై వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. 2027 ఫిబ్రవరిలోనే ఎన్నికలు ఉంటాయని, వైసీపీ శ్రేణులు సిద్ధం కావాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు. ఈ విషయాన్ని ఒక కేంద్ర మంత్రి తనతో చెప్పారని కూడా పెద్దిరెడ్డి అనడం హాట్ టాపిక్ అయింది. జమిలి ఎన్నికల ప్రస్తావన చాలాకాలంగా ఉన్నప్పటికీ కేంద్రం నుంచి ఎలాంటి స్పష్టత రాలేదు. ఇప్పుడు పెద్దిరెడ్డి లాంటి సీనియర్ నాయకుడు అలా మాట్లాడటంతో మళ్ళీ చర్చ మొదలైందట.

ఒకవైపు పార్టీ నేతలతో వరుస సమావేశాలు, ఎన్ని ఆంక్షలు పెట్టినా ఆగని జగన్ పర్యటనలను పరిశీలిస్తే అందులో ఏదో పరమార్థం ఉండొచ్చు అన్న అనుమానాలు రాజకీయ విశ్లేషకుల నుంచి వ్యక్తం అవుతున్నాయి. కచ్చితంగా జమిలి ఎన్నికల అంచనాతోనే వైసీపీ ఇక నుంచి ‘టాప్ గేర్’లో (top gear) వెళ్లాలని భావిస్తుండవచ్చని అంచనా వేస్తున్నారు.

ఒకవేళ ఇప్పటికిప్పుడు రాకపోయినా, ఆ పేరుతో పార్టీ నేతలను సిద్ధం చేస్తే, ఎలాగూ జగన్ 2.0 అంటున్నందున పార్టీని మళ్లీ ఊపులోకి తీసుకురావచ్చని భావిస్తున్నారట. పెద్దిరెడ్డి లాంటి నాయకుడు ఎలాంటి సమాచారం లేకుండా జమిలిపై మాట్లాడరని, అలా చూసుకున్నా ముందు జాగ్రత్త మంచిదేనన్న అభిప్రాయం వైసీపీ వర్గాల్లో వ్యక్తమవుతోంది.

• YSRCP’s Rapid Resurgence: Jagan Intensifies Outreach Amidst Early Election Buzz

Following its significant defeat in the recent elections, the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) is back with renewed vigor. Party chief Jagan Mohan Reddy has intensified his activities, holding continuous meetings and public outreach programs. Despite four years remaining until the next general elections, he is actively rallying the party cadre, boosting morale, and strategizing for future electoral battles, including leveraging social media.

Amaravati, July 3: After a dismal performance in the 2024 elections, which saw it reduced to just 11 assembly seats, the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) is evidently leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to regain lost ground. The party’s high command is acutely aware that despite the severe setback, they still managed to secure a significant 40 percent of the vote share. Their calculation suggests that by safeguarding this vote bank and effectively harnessing the natural anti-incumbency sentiment against the current government, a return to power is a distinct possibility. Accordingly, the party is formulating its strategies, actively questioning the ruling coalition on every incident that arises.

Are Simultaneous Elections a Concern?

Party President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has notably increased his activities recently. In addition to his ‘paramarsha yatras’ (consolation tours), he is conducting a series of party review meetings. These party gatherings, which commenced at the undivided district level, are now extending to district presidents, regional coordinators, PAC members, and various affiliate wings of the party.

Simultaneously, the party is organizing protest programs to highlight the failures of the coalition government to the public. Party sources indicate that visits to Guntur and Podili to address the concerns of chili and tobacco farmers, along with consoling those arrested in various circumstances, are all part of this broader strategy. The YSRCP is also devising a plan to ensure that Jagan holds meetings, tours, or condolence visits with leaders or cadre at least once a week. The overarching party strategy appears to be a rapid outreach to the public.

According to YSRCP circles, there is a strong underlying reason for this urgency. Several key leaders, including party chief Jagan, are reportedly firm believers that simultaneous elections could take place by late 2027 or early 2028. This anticipation is said to be the primary driver behind the accelerated speed of party programs. In his recent meetings, Jagan has conveyed signals about ‘Jamili’ elections to party leaders and cadre, urging them to prepare accordingly and providing clear directions.

Adding fuel to this speculation, senior YSRCP leader Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy recently commented on simultaneous elections. He stated that elections could be held as early as February 2027 and called upon YSRCP ranks to be prepared. Peddireddy’s assertion that a Union Minister shared this information with him has become a hot topic of discussion. While the concept of simultaneous elections has been discussed for a long time without concrete clarity from the central government, Peddireddy’s statement from a senior leader has reignited the debate.

Political analysts are expressing suspicions that there might be a deeper purpose behind Jagan’s continuous meetings with party leaders and his unceasing tours, despite any restrictions. They predict that the YSRCP is likely planning to operate in “top gear” from now on, based on the strong expectation of simultaneous elections. Even if these elections do not materialize immediately, preparing the party leaders under this pretext could help bring the party back into momentum, especially with the talk of ‘Jagan 2.0’. The prevailing sentiment within YSRCP circles is that a leader like Peddireddy would not comment on ‘Jamili’ without some credible information, and therefore, being proactive and prepared is a wise approach.
