చెన్నై: తమిళనాడు రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ కేబినెట్ విస్తరణ (TN Cabinet Expansion) శుక్రవారం అత్యంత నిరాడంబరంగా జరిగింది. కూటమి పార్టీలకు చెందిన ఇద్దరు శాసనసభ్యులు ఏఎం షాజహాన్, వన్ని అరసు నూతన మంత్రులుగా ప్రమాణ స్వీకారం చేశారు. రాజ్భవన్ (లోక్ భవన్) లో జరిగిన ఈ ప్రత్యేక కార్యక్రమంలో రాష్ట్ర గవర్నర్ రాజేంద్ర విశ్వనాథ్ అర్లేకర్ వీరితో పదవీ ప్రమాణం, రహస్య విధి నిర్వహణ ప్రమాణ స్వీకారం చేయించారు.
ముఖ్యమంత్రి సి. జోసెఫ్ విజయ్ సమక్షంలో ఈ ప్రమాణ స్వీకార కార్యక్రమం ఘనంగా ముగిసింది. పాపనాశం అసెంబ్లీ నియోజకవర్గం నుంచి ఇండియన్ యూనియన్ ముస్లిం లీగ్ (IUML) తరపున గెలిచిన ఏఎం షాజహాన్.. అలాగే తిండివనం నియోజకవర్గం నుండి విడుతలై చిరుతైగల్ కట్చి (VCK) పార్టీ తరపున విజయం సాధించిన వన్ని అరసు కేబినెట్ దక్కించుకున్నారు.

ముఖ్యమంత్రి విజయ్ నేతృత్వంలోని ఈ మంత్రిమండలిలోకి కొత్తగా ఇద్దరు ఎమ్మెల్యేలను చేర్చుకోవడంతో, సీఎం తో కలిపి మొత్తం మంత్రుల సంఖ్య 35కు చేరుకుంది. భారత రాజ్యాంగ నిబంధనల ప్రకారం అసెంబ్లీ స్థానాల ఆధారంగా రాష్ట్ర మంత్రివర్గంలో ఉండాల్సిన గరిష్ఠ పరిమితి ఇదే కావడం గమనార్హం.

CHENNAI: In a significant political development, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay expanded his Council of Ministers on Friday. Legislators AM Shahjahan from the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and Vanni Arasu from the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) were officially sworn in as cabinet ministers. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administered the oath of office and secrecy at a swift ceremony held at the Lok Bhavan.
