ఉదయం 9:45 గంటలకు హెలికాప్టర్ ద్వారా జువ్వలదిన్నె చేరుకోనున్న జగన్, నేరుగా ఫిషింగ్ హార్బర్ను సందర్శించి అక్కడి పరిస్థితిని సమీక్షిస్తారు. అనంతరం ఉదయం 11 గంటలకు మత్స్యకారులతో ముఖాముఖి నిర్వహించి, వారి సమస్యలను అడిగి తెలుసుకుంటారు. వైసీపీ హయాంలో 90 శాతం పనులు పూర్తయిన ఈ హార్బర్ను, ప్రస్తుత కూటమి ప్రభుత్వం మిగిలిన 10 శాతం పనులు పూర్తి చేయకుండా ప్రైవేట్ సంస్థలకు కట్టబెట్టడాన్ని నిరసిస్తూ ఆయన గళమెత్తనున్నారు.

జగన్ పర్యటన ఏర్పాట్లను పర్యవేక్షించిన మాజీ మంత్రి కాకాణి గోవర్ధన్ రెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ.. కూటమి ప్రభుత్వం మత్స్యకారుల కడుపు కొట్టేలా హార్బర్లోని 29.5 ఎకరాల తీర ప్రాంతాన్ని ‘సాగర్ డిఫెన్స్’ అనే ప్రైవేట్ సంస్థకు అప్పగించడం దుర్మార్గమని విమర్శించారు. లోకేష్ ఆదేశాలతోనే మత్స్యకారుల బోట్లను తరలించారని ఆరోపించారు. జగన్మోహన్ రెడ్డి అధికారం ఉన్నా లేకపోయినా ప్రజల పక్షమేనని ఈ పర్యటనతో మరోసారి రుజువవుతుందని ఆయన స్పష్టం చేశారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో ఎమ్మెల్సీ తలశిల రఘురాం, మాజీ ఎమ్మెల్యేలు మేకపాటి విక్రమ్ రెడ్డి, రామిరెడ్డి ప్రతాప్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

Former Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy, who oversaw the arrangements, slammed the government for prioritizing private interests over the livelihoods of fishermen. He alleged that the recent removal of Karaikal boats was done at the behest of Nara Lokesh, causing immense distress to the locals. Reddy emphasized that the Jagan Juvvaladinne Visit underscores the leader’s commitment to standing by the people, regardless of whether he is in power. Several senior YSRCP leaders, including former MLAs and MLCs, have joined the campaign to demand that the harbor remain a public utility for the benefit of the fishing folk.
