విశాఖపట్నం ఎంపీ మరియు వీఎంఆర్డీఏ అధికారులు ఇటీవల జరిపిన సమీక్షలో ఏడు కీలక రహదారుల పనుల పురోగతిని వెల్లడించారు. తిమ్మాపురం నుంచి మారికవలస వరకు ఉన్న రోడ్డు పనులు దాదాపు పూర్తికావచ్చాయి. అలాగే అడవివరం నుంచి శొంఠ్యాం వరకు ఆరు లేన్ల రోడ్డు నిర్మాణానికి అనుమతులు లభించాయి. ఏప్రిల్ చివరి నాటికి నేరళవలస-కొత్తవలస, బోయపాలెం-కాపులుప్పాడ రహదారులు పూర్తి కానున్నాయని ఎంపీ భరత్ తెలిపారు.
మరోవైపు, భీమిలి నుంచి దొరతోట వరకు ఉన్న రహదారిని 100 అడుగుల వెడల్పుతో అభివృద్ధి చేసేందుకు ప్రణాళికలు సిద్ధమవుతున్నాయి. పెందుర్తి ప్రాంతంలోని రోడ్డు పనులు మే లేదా జూన్ నాటికి పూర్తయ్యే అవకాశం ఉంది. ఈ రహదారులన్నింటినీ నేషనల్ హైవేలతో అనుసంధానం చేయడం ద్వారా Bhogapuram Airport కు వెళ్లే ప్రయాణికులకు ఎటువంటి ఆటంకాలు లేని ప్రయాణ అనుభూతిని అందించడమే లక్ష్యంగా అధికారులు పనిచేస్తున్నారు.

The Andhra Pradesh government is prioritizing seamless connectivity to the upcoming Bhogapuram Airport, expected to be operational by July or August. A major highlight of this plan is the construction of a new flyover at the crucial Anandapuram Junction to alleviate traffic congestion for commuters traveling from Visakhapatnam. The alignment has been finalized, and the Detailed Project Report (DPR) is expected within 45 days, ensuring a smooth flow for vehicles heading toward the airport and Anakapalli.
To further ease the bottleneck at Anandapuram, authorities are planning to relocate the local vegetable and flower markets. This strategic move aims to provide a long-term solution to traffic issues. Additionally, several key road projects under VMRDA, GVMC, and the R&B department are in their final stages, with the Thimmapuram-Marikavalasa stretch nearly complete and the Adavivaram-Sontyam six-lane road gaining momentum.
Member of Parliament Bharat emphasized that seven vital link roads connecting to Bhogapuram Airport are targeted for completion by June. Projects like the Boyapalem-Kapuluppada road are expected to finish by April end, while the Pendurthi road works will wrap up by June. Plans are also underway to widen the Bheemili-Dorathota road to 100 feet, integrating these routes with National Highways to ensure a world-class, traffic-free travel experience for airport passengers.
