Turning his attention to the local government, he stated that the industrial sector in Bengal, once a hub, was ruined first by the Left and now by the TMC.

He highlighted corruption issues, specifically naming the Sharda and Rose Valley chit fund scams, where lakhs of investors lost thousands of crores. In the Raiganj constituency, where a triangular contest is brewing between Mohit Sengupta (Congress), Krishna Kalyani (TMC), and Kaushik Chowdhury (BJP), Gandhi’s rally aimed to position the Congress as the true alternative to both the “corrupt” TMC and “divisive” BJP.
