Interestingly, photos and videos recorded by the forest staff themselves during the operation were allegedly leaked onto social media, intensifying the gravity of the suspicions.
As the matter of the illegal treasure excavation and involvement of government employees reached the higher-ups, the local police stepped in and initiated a comprehensive probe.
