దక్షిణాది గొంతు నొక్కే కుట్ర చేస్తే పెను ఉద్యమమే: కేటీఆర్ హెచ్చరిక
కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం ప్రతిపాదించిన నియోజకవర్గాల పునర్విభజన (Delimitation) ప్రక్రియపై బీఆర్ఎస్ వర్కింగ్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ కేటీఆర్ తీవ్ర స్థాయిలో మండిపడ్డారు. జనాభా ప్రాతిపదికన మాత్రమే లోక్సభ స్థానాలను పెంచడం వల్ల అభివృద్ధి చెందుతున్న దక్షిణాది రాష్ట్రాలకు తీవ్ర అన్యాయం జరుగుతుందని ఆయన ఆందోళన వ్యక్తం చేశారు. “దక్షిణాది గొంతు నొక్కే కుట్ర చేస్తే పెను ఉద్యమమే వస్తుంది” అని కేటీఆర్ ఈ సందర్భంగా హెచ్చరించారు. అభ్యుదయ పథంలో దూసుకుపోతూ, జనాభా నియంత్రణను సమర్థవంతంగా అమలు చేసిన రాష్ట్రాలను ప్రోత్సహించాల్సింది పోయి, వాటి రాజకీయ బలాన్ని తగ్గించడం ఎంతవరకు ధర్మమని ఆయన ప్రశ్నించారు.
మేడ్చల్ జిల్లా పీర్జాదిగూడలో జరిగిన ఒక కార్యక్రమంలో పాల్గొన్న కేటీఆర్, ఈ South India Delimitation ప్రక్రియ కేవలం ఒక పరిపాలనాపరమైన నిర్ణయం మాత్రమే కాదని, ఇది దక్షిణాది ఉనికిపై జరుగుతున్న దాడి అని అభివర్ణించారు. ఒకవేళ కేంద్రం ఏకపక్షంగా ముందుకు వెళ్తే, అటు పార్లమెంటులోనూ, ఇటు క్షేత్రస్థాయిలోనూ తమ నిరసనను గట్టిగా వినిపిస్తామని తెలిపారు. అవసరమైతే బీఆర్ఎస్ అధినేత కె. చంద్రశేఖర రావు (KCR) స్వయంగా ఈ ఉద్యమానికి నాయకత్వం వహిస్తారని ఆయన స్పష్టం చేశారు.
అభివృద్ధికి శిక్ష వేయకండి
దక్షిణాది రాష్ట్రాలు దేశ ఆర్థికాభివృద్ధిలో కీలక పాత్ర పోషిస్తున్నాయని, పన్నుల రూపంలో కేంద్రానికి భారీగా ఆదాయాన్ని అందిస్తున్నాయని కేటీఆర్ గుర్తు చేశారు. “బాధ్యతాయుతమైన రాష్ట్రాలుగా మేము జనాభాను నియంత్రించాము. ఆ ప్రగతే మాకు శాపంగా మారకూడదు” అని ఆయన డిమాండ్ చేశారు. నియోజకవర్గాల సంఖ్యను పెంచడాన్ని తాము వ్యతిరేకించడం లేదని, కానీ ఆ ప్రక్రియ కేవలం జనాభా మీద ఆధారపడి ఉంటే, అది దక్షిణాదికి తీరని అన్యాయం చేస్తుందని ఆయన వాదించారు.
ఈ South India Delimitation వల్ల తెలంగాణ, ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్, తమిళనాడు, కేరళ మరియు కర్ణాటక వంటి రాష్ట్రాలు తమ రాజకీయ ప్రాధాన్యతను కోల్పోయే ప్రమాదం ఉందని ఆయన ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశారు. కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం విడుదల చేయనున్న 131వ రాజ్యాంగ సవరణ బిల్లు-2026 పై అన్ని పార్టీలు ఏకమై పోరాడాలని కేటీఆర్ పిలుపునిచ్చారు. ఢిల్లీ పాలకుల వైఖరి మారకుంటే, దేశంలో ఉత్తర-దక్షిణ విభేదాలు మరింత పెరిగే అవకాశం ఉందని ఆయన హెచ్చరించారు.

BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) has issued a stern warning to the BJP-led central government regarding the upcoming South India Delimitation exercise. He stated that any move to reduce the political representation of Southern states in the Lok Sabha based on population figures would be met with a massive, uncompromising public movement. KTR criticized the policy of penalizing performing states that have successfully implemented population control and contributed significantly to India’s GDP.
Speaking at a party event in Peerzadiguda, KTR called the delimitation proposal a “new conspiracy” against the South. He argued that if the voice of the Southern states is stifled in the Parliament, it will not remain a mere legislative issue but will transform into a powerful mass agitation across the entire region. He emphasized that BRS, under the leadership of K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), is ready to lead this struggle to protect the rights and sovereignty of the Southern people.
Injustice Against Performing States
KTR highlighted that the Southern states are the engines of the Indian economy, yet they are being threatened with decreased political strength. “We are proud Indians, but we will not accept being punished for our progress,” he asserted. He questioned why the Centre has ignored the promise of increasing assembly seats in the Telugu states for over a decade while fast-tracking a process that benefits high-population states at the expense of developing ones.
The BRS leader urged the central leadership to reconsider the South India Delimitation model before proceeding with the Constitutional Amendment Bill in the special session of Parliament. He warned that ignoring the ground realities and the concerns of the South would undermine the spirit of cooperative federalism. KTR’s remarks come at a time when multiple Southern leaders are calling for a united front to resist any changes that could lead to a demographic and political imbalance in the nation’s governance.
