న్యూఢిల్లీ: దేశ రాజధానిలో విషాదం చోటుచేసుకుంది. తూర్పు ఢిల్లీలోని షాహదరా జిల్లా వివేక్ విహార్ ఫేజ్-1లో ఉన్న ఒక నాలుగు అంతస్తుల నివాస భవనంలో ఈరోజు తెల్లవారుజామున భారీ అగ్నిప్రమాదం సంభవించింది. అర్ధరాత్రి మంటల బీభత్సం: తెల్లవారుజామున అందరూ గాఢ నిద్రలో ఉన్న సమయంలో భవనంలో ఒక్కసారిగా మంటలు చెలరేగాయి. సమాచారం అందిన వెంటనే 14 ఫైర్ ఇంజన్లు ఘటనా స్థలానికి చేరుకుని సుమారు రెండు గంటల పాటు శ్రమించి మంటలను అదుపులోకి తెచ్చాయి. భవనంలోని మొదటి అంతస్తులో ఒకరు, రెండో అంతస్తులో ఐదుగురు, మేడపైకి వెళ్లే మెట్ల మార్గంలో ముగ్గురు ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయారు. సహాయక బృందాలు సుమారు 15 మందిని సురక్షితంగా బయటకు తీసుకురాగా, గాయపడిన ఇద్దరిని చికిత్స కోసం గురు తేజ్ బహదూర్ ఆసుపత్రికి తరలించారు.
ఏసీ పేలుడే కారణమా? ప్రాథమిక సమాచారం ప్రకారం, భవనంలోని ఎయిర్ కండీషనర్ (ఏసీ) యూనిట్లో భారీ పేలుడు సంభవించడం వల్లే మంటలు వేగంగా వ్యాపించినట్లు స్థానికులు చెబుతున్నారు. “మేము కేసు నమోదు చేసి దర్యాప్తు చేస్తున్నాము. షార్ట్ సర్క్యూట్ లేదా ఏసీ పేలుడు అనే కోణంలో విచారణ జరుగుతోంది” అని షాహదరా డీసీపీ రాజేంద్ర ప్రసాద్ మీనా తెలిపారు. మృతదేహాలను పోస్టుమార్టం నిమిత్తం తరలించిన అధికారులు, భవనంలో భద్రతా నిబంధనల ఉల్లంఘనలపై కూడా ఆరా తీస్తున్నారు.

Shahdara DCP Rajendra Prasad Meena stated that the exact cause will be determined after a forensic analysis. Local witnesses reported hearing a loud bang followed by a rapid spread of fire through the second and third floors. Authorities are currently examining the building’s fire safety compliance as the city mourns the loss of nine lives in this horrific incident.
