మహిళా రిజర్వేషన్ల అంశంపై తెలంగాణ ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వంపై ఘాటు విమర్శలు చేశారు. Women Reservations అమలును నియోజకవర్గాల పునర్విభజన (డీలిమిటేషన్) తో ముడిపెట్టడం సరికాదని ఆయన అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. ఈ మేరకు సోషల్ మీడియా వేదికగా ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీకి ఆయన పలు ప్రశ్నలు సంధించారు. మహిళా రిజర్వేషన్లకు దేశమంతా మద్దతు ఇస్తున్నప్పటికీ, డీలిమిటేషన్ విషయంలో అనేక సందేహాలు ఉన్నాయని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.
జనాభా ప్రాతిపదికన లోక్సభ స్థానాల పునర్విభజన చేపట్టడం వల్ల దక్షిణాది రాష్ట్రాలకు తీవ్ర అన్యాయం జరుగుతుందని రేవంత్ రెడ్డి ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశారు. కేవలం రాజకీయ ప్రయోజనాల కోసం కాకుండా జాతీయ ప్రయోజనాలకే ప్రాధాన్యత ఇవ్వాలని కోరారు. రాష్ట్రాల వారీగా అసెంబ్లీ సీట్లలో మహిళా కోటాను వెంటనే అమలు చేయాలని, దీనిని డీలిమిటేషన్ పేరుతో కాలయాపన చేయవద్దని ఆయన డిమాండ్ చేశారు.

Taking to social media, he criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for linking the women’s quota with the delimitation process. He stated that while the entire nation supports reservation for women, there are serious concerns regarding the redistribution of Lok Sabha seats.
The Chief Minister argued that conducting delimitation solely based on population would cause immense injustice to South Indian states that have effectively implemented population control measures. Revanth Reddy suggested that the expansion of Lok Sabha seats should follow a scientific method rather than a purely population-based approach.
