పెరిగిన రుణాల వివరాలు: ఇప్పటివరకు స్త్రీనిధి ద్వారా సభ్యులకు లభిస్తున్న రూ. 1 లక్ష రుణానికి అదనంగా మరో రూ. 2 లక్షలను ప్రభుత్వం చేర్చింది. తద్వారా సాధారణ సభ్యులకు మొత్తం రూ. 3 లక్షల వరకు రుణ సాయం అందుతుంది. సామాజికంగా వెనుకబడిన ఎస్సీ (SC), ఎస్టీ (ST) వర్గాలకు చెందిన మహిళలకు ఈ పరిమితిని ఏకంగా రూ. 4 లక్షల వరకు పెంచారు. కుటీర పరిశ్రమలు, చిన్న తరహా వ్యాపారాలు ప్రారంభించాలనుకునే మహిళలకు ఈ నిర్ణయం ఒక గొప్ప వరంగా మారనుంది.
ఎంపిక విధానం మరియు శిక్షణ: ఈ అదనపు రుణ సదుపాయం కేవలం గతంలో తీసుకున్న రుణాలను సకాలంలో చెల్లించిన (Good Repayment Record) వారికి మాత్రమే వర్తిస్తుంది. సెర్ఫ్ (SERP) అధికారులు ప్రతి గ్రామ సంఘం నుంచి సుమారు 15 మంది చొప్పున అర్హులైన సభ్యులను పారదర్శకంగా ఎంపిక చేయనున్నారు. ఈ పథకంపై అవగాహన కల్పించేందుకు రేపటి నుంచి నెల రోజుల పాటు రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా ప్రత్యేక సదస్సులు నిర్వహించనున్నారు. ఈ శిక్షణా కాలంలోనే లబ్ధిదారుల ఎంపిక పూర్తి చేసి, త్వరలోనే రుణాల పంపిణీకి శ్రీకారం చుట్టనున్నారు.

Amaravati: In a major move towards women empowerment, the Andhra Pradesh government has announced a substantial hike in the credit limit for Self-Help Group (SHG) women under the Stree Nidhi scheme. According to the AP Stree Nidhi Loan Limit Increase 2026 initiative, the loan ceiling has been raised to provide more financial muscle to women aspiring to start small-scale businesses and cottage industries.
Increased Loan Ceilings: The government has decided to add an additional Rs. 2 lakhs to the existing Rs. 1 lakh limit, effectively allowing general SHG members to avail up to Rs. 3 lakhs in loans. For women belonging to SC and ST communities, the loan limit has been enhanced to Rs. 4 lakhs. This financial boost is expected to transform rural and urban economies by encouraging women to transition from homemakers to successful entrepreneurs.
Eligibility and Awareness: The enhanced loan facility is strictly reserved for members with a disciplined repayment track record. Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) officials will identify approximately 15 eligible members from each Village Organization (VO) based on their past financial discipline. To ensure a smooth rollout, the government is launching a month-long awareness campaign starting tomorrow. During this period, officials will conduct training sessions on fund utilization and business management before disbursing the loans.
