ఇదే సమావేశంలో విద్యుత్ డిమాండ్ అంచనాలను అధికారులు సీఎంకు సమర్పించారు. జూన్ 2026 నుండి నవంబర్ 2026 మధ్య కాలంలో రాష్ట్రంలో గరిష్ట విద్యుత్ డిమాండ్ 12,226 మెగావాట్లకు చేరే అవకాశం ఉందని, రోజువారీ వినియోగం 226 నుండి 261 మిలియన్ యూనిట్ల (MU) వరకు నమోదవుతుందని తెలిపారు. కాగా, మే 21న రాష్ట్ర చరిత్రలోనే అత్యధికంగా 15,016 మెగావాట్ల గరిష్ట డిమాండ్ నమోదైంది. సాంకేతిక నష్టాలను తగ్గించేందుకు స్టాన్‌ఫోర్డ్ యూనివర్సిటీకి చెందిన ‘ప్రవాహ్’ సంస్థ ఆర్టిఫిషియల్ ఇంటెలిజెన్స్ (AI) ల్యాబ్ సహకారంతో ఏపీఈపీడీసీఎల్ (APEPDCL) పరిధిలో దేశంలోనే మొదటిసారిగా ‘డిజిటల్ ట్విన్ గ్రిడ్’ (Digital Twin Grid) ను నిర్మిస్తున్నట్లు అధికారులు వెల్లడించారు. అలాగే రైతులకు మేలు చేసేలా కంప్రెస్డ్ బయో గ్యాస్ (CBG) ప్లాంట్ల ఏర్పాటును వేగవంతం చేయాలని సీఎం సూచించారు.

In a decisive move to position Andhra Pradesh at the forefront of the global clean energy transition, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu chaired a comprehensive power sector review meeting at the State Secretariat on Friday. The apex administration greenlit structural blueprints worth ₹22,000 crores under the AP Green Energy Corridor Phase 3 framework. This massive infrastructure asset aims to integrate approximately 18 Gigawatts (GW) of renewable power into the national grid. The Chief Minister emphasized that the completion of this corridor will fundamentally support the energy-intensive Visakhapatnam Data Center Corridor and catalyze high-volume foreign direct investments into the state’s green economy.

The institutional updates verified that out of the projected 18 GW matrix, 11 GW will be generated via localized solar grids, while the remaining 7 GW will be balanced through Pumped Storage Projects (PSP). AP Transco is slated to install over 2,261 kilometers of specialized high-voltage transmission networks. Officials confirmed that five mega power pooling stations with a collective capability of 9,500 MW will be operationalized across strategic junctions, namely Mudigubba, Talupula, Ramayapatnam, Porumamilla, and Koppaka. To counter commercial transmission leakages, APEPDCL is pioneering India’s first ‘Digital Twin Grid’ using Artificial Intelligence algorithms designed by Stanford University’s ‘Pravah’ laboratory.

Decentralized Solarization and Institutional Policy Benchmarks

The operational targets formulated by the power utilities to expand the decentralized renewable footprint across multiple demographic sectors involve:

The Net-Zero Educational Framework: Identification of 2,898 state-run schools and student hostels for complete transition to net-zero carbon status using the RESCO solarization model.
Sovereign Rooftop Solar Milestones: Accelerating the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana where AP currently ranks 4th nationally, aiming to deliver solar modules to 10 lakh BC households with a ₹20,000 baseline subsidy.
Electric Vehicle Mobility Networks: Initiation of structural civil work to deploy 577 high-capacity EV charging stations across 131 primary urban and transit zones.
Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) Integration: Prompt execution of the newly introduced CBG industrial policy to diversify farmers’ commercial revenue channels through agro-waste processing.

Parallel to the department briefing, a high-level delegation from the World Economic Forum (WEF) met with Chief Minister Naidu to layout the roadmap for India’s first thematic Center for Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) located in AP. Established under a joint venture between AP Transco and WEF, the C4IR facility will focus heavily on cybersecurity resilience, energy transitions, and green hydrogen supply chains. The Chief Minister directed state executives to establish a solid result-oriented workflow, ensuring that Andhra Pradesh’s technological advancements in digital power management are ready for a showcase display at the upcoming annual Davos World Economic Forum summit.
