గత వైఎస్సార్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ (YCP) ఐదేళ్ల పాలనలో విద్యుత్ రంగాన్ని పూర్తిగా నిర్వీర్యం చేశారని, రాష్ట్రంలో ఒక్కటంటే ఒక్క సబ్‌స్టేషన్‌ను కూడా నిర్మించకుండా వ్యవస్థలను స్తంభింపజేశారని మంత్రి తీవ్రస్థాయిలో విమర్శించారు. ముఖ్యమంత్రి నారా చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు నేతృత్వంలోని కూటమి ప్రభుత్వం ఏర్పడిన వెంటనే రూ. 6,000 కోట్లతో ట్రాన్స్‌కో సబ్‌స్టేషన్ల నిర్మాణ పనులను వేగవంతం చేశామని వెల్లడించారు. రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా ప్రస్తుతం నిర్మాణ దశలో ఉన్న సుమారు 30 సబ్‌స్టేషన్ల పనులన్నీ రాబోయే అక్టోబర్ నాటికి పూర్తి చేసి వినియోగంలోకి తెస్తామన్నారు. ఇప్పటికే ఏలూరు, విజయవాడ ఎయిర్‌పోర్ట్ పరిసర ప్రాంతాలలో రికార్డు సమయంలో సబ్‌స్టేషన్ల నిర్మాణం పూర్తి చేసి గ్రిడ్ సామర్థ్యాన్ని పెంచామని మంత్రి ఉదాహరించారు.
