శనివారం రాత్రి నిందితుడి బారి నుంచి ఎలాగోలా తప్పించుకున్న బాధితురాలు, ఫిరోజ్పూర్ జిర్కా సిటీ పోలీస్ స్టేషన్కు చేరుకుని ఫిర్యాదు చేసింది. బాధితురాలి ఫిర్యాదు మేరకు రంగంలోకి దిగిన పోలీసులు, 20 ఏళ్ల నిందితుడు జహీర్ను ఆదివారం అరెస్ట్ చేశారు. నిందితుడు ఆమెను అసభ్యకర వీడియోలతో బ్లాక్మెయిల్ చేస్తూ ప్రాణహాని తలపెడతానని బెదిరించినట్లు ఎస్హెచ్ఓ కుల్దీప్ సింగ్ తెలిపారు.

జహీర్ తనను రోజుల తరబడి నిర్బంధించి లైంగిక దాడికి పాల్పడ్డాడని బాధితురాలు తన వాంగ్మూలంలో పేర్కొంది. ఇస్లాం మతంలోకి మారితేనే వివాహం చేసుకుంటానని, నిరాకరిస్తే వీడియోలు సోషల్ మీడియాలో వైరల్ చేస్తానని హెచ్చరించినట్లు సమాచారం. ఈ క్రమంలో ఆమెపై శారీరక దాడి కూడా జరిగినట్లు పోలీసులు గుర్తించారు.
