డీలిమిటేషన్పై కల్వకుంట్ల కవిత గర్జన: దక్షిణాది గొంతు నొక్కే కుట్ర!
కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం ప్రతిపాదించిన Delimitation Bill పై తెలంగాణ జాగృతి అధ్యక్షురాలు కల్వకుంట్ల కవిత తీవ్ర స్థాయిలో ధ్వజమెత్తారు. వికారాబాద్లో జరిగిన ఒక కార్యక్రమంలో పాల్గొన్న ఆమె, నియోజకవర్గాల పునర్విభజన పేరుతో దక్షిణాది రాష్ట్రాల రాజకీయ ప్రాధాన్యతను తగ్గించేందుకు కుట్ర జరుగుతోందని ఆరోపించారు. జనాభా నియంత్రణ మరియు ఆర్థిక వృద్ధిలో దేశానికే ఆదర్శంగా నిలిచిన దక్షిణాది రాష్ట్రాలను ప్రోత్సహించాల్సింది పోయి, ప్రాతినిధ్యం తగ్గించి శిక్షించడం ఎంతవరకు సమంజసమని ఆమె ప్రశ్నించారు.
ముఖ్యంగా తెలంగాణ గొంతును పార్లమెంటులో నొక్కే ప్రయత్నం చేస్తే ఊరుకునేది లేదని ఆమె హెచ్చరించారు. ప్రస్తుతం పార్లమెంటులో తెలంగాణకు ఉన్న 3.13 శాతం వాటా కేవలం ప్రాథమిక స్థాయి మాత్రమేనని, దీనిని తగ్గించే ఏ ప్రయత్నాన్నైనా తాము అడ్డుకుంటామని స్పష్టం చేశారు. ఈ Delimitation Bill వల్ల రాబోయే రోజుల్లో దక్షిణాది రాష్ట్రాలు తమ రాజకీయ ఉనికిని కోల్పోయే ప్రమాదం ఉందని ఆమె ఆందోళన వ్యక్తం చేశారు.
దక్షిణాది ప్రయోజనాలే ముఖ్యం
ఈ సందర్భంగా కవిత మాట్లాడుతూ.. “దక్షిణాది రాష్ట్రాలు కుటుంబ నియంత్రణను సమర్థవంతంగా అమలు చేశాయి. ఆ ప్రగతికి ప్రతిఫలంగా రాజకీయ బలాన్ని తగ్గించడం ప్రజాస్వామ్య విరుద్ధం. Delimitation Bill అనేది జనాభా ప్రాతిపదికన మాత్రమే కాకుండా, అభివృద్ధి సూచికల ఆధారంగా ఉండాలి” అని డిమాండ్ చేశారు. ఒకవేళ కేంద్రం ఏకపక్షంగా ముందుకు వెళ్తే, తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమ స్థాయిలోనే మరో భారీ ఉద్యమాన్ని చేపడతామని ఆమె హెచ్చరించారు.
పార్లమెంటు హాల్స్ నుండి ప్రతి వీధి వరకు ఈ పోరాటాన్ని తీసుకెళ్తామని, తెలంగాణ రాజకీయ సార్వభౌమాధికారాన్ని కాపాడుకుంటామని ఆమె భీష్మించారు. ఇదే తరుణంలో బీఆర్ఎస్ వర్కింగ్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ కేటీఆర్ కూడా స్పందిస్తూ, దక్షిణాదికి అన్యాయం జరిగితే కేసీఆర్ స్వయంగా ఉద్యమానికి నాయకత్వం వహిస్తారని వెల్లడించారు. మహిళా రిజర్వేషన్ బిల్లును డీలిమిటేషన్తో ముడిపెట్టడం వెనుక రాజకీయ కుయుక్తులు ఉన్నాయని కవిత ఈ సందర్భంగా విమర్శించారు.

Telangana Jagruthi President Kavitha Kalvakuntla has raised strong objections against the proposed Delimitation Bill, labeling it a conspiracy to dilute the political voice of South Indian states. Speaking at an event in Vikarabad, she asserted that states like Telangana, which have excelled in economic growth and family planning, are being unfairly penalized with reduced parliamentary representation. She emphasized that the South’s contribution to the nation should be rewarded, not punished.
Kavitha stated that the current 3.13% representation of Telangana in Parliament must be considered the “floor,” and any attempt to lower it under the guise of the Delimitation Bill would be met with fierce resistance. She warned the BJP-led central government that any move to weaken the democratic stake of the Southern states would invite a movement of the same scale and intensity as the historic Telangana Agitation.
Protecting Southern Sovereignty
During her speech, she highlighted that the South has consistently led the country in various developmental indices. “Demographic injustice cannot be allowed. The Delimitation Bill must respect the progress made by Southern states,” she added. She vowed to take this fight from the halls of Parliament to every street in the state until the political sovereignty of Telangana is fully secured and recognized.
Echoing her sentiments, BRS Working President KTR also cautioned the center, stating that reducing representation would spark widespread public unrest across South India. Kavitha criticized the move to link the Women’s Reservation Act with the delimitation process, calling it a strategic maneuver to delay social justice while achieving political ends. The BRS party remains firm in its stance to protect the region’s interests at all costs.
