The Revanth Reddy-led government has officially released the comprehensive Telangana Caste Census report, detailing the demographic and socio-economic status of every community in the state. According to the breakdown, Backward Classes (BCs) constitute the largest segment of the population at 56.33%. This includes a 10.08% share of Muslim BCs, highlighting the significant presence of backward communities in the state.

The census further categorizes the population into Scheduled Castes (SC) at 17.43%, Scheduled Tribes (ST) at 10.45%, and the Open Category (OC) at 15.79%. The Telangana Caste Census also points out a rising trend in inter-caste marriages across all social groups. However, it notes vast economic disparities among the 56 major BC sub-castes, with some groups reaching socio-economic parity with the forward castes.
