అమరావతిలో క్వాంటం విప్లవం: దేశంలోనే తొలి ‘Quantum Reference Facility’ ప్రారంభం

అమరావతి: ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాజధాని అమరావతి మరో ప్రపంచ స్థాయి టెక్నాలజీ కేంద్రంగా అవతరించబోతోంది. ప్రపంచ క్వాంటం దినోత్సవాన్ని పురస్కరించుకుని దేశంలోనే మొట్టమొదటి క్వాంటం రిఫరెన్స్ ఫెసిలిటీలను (Quantum Reference Facilities) ముఖ్యమంత్రి నారా చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు జాతికి అంకితం చేశారు. అమరావతిలోని ఎస్ఆర్ఎం యూనివర్సిటీలో ‘1S’ ఓపెన్ యాక్సెస్ ఫెసిలిటీని, గన్నవరంలోని మేధా టవర్స్లో ‘1Q’ క్వాంటం సిస్టమ్ను ఆయన ప్రారంభించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా Amaravati Quantum Valley కి అమరావతి లాంచ్ పాడ్గా మారుతుందని సీఎం ధీమా వ్యక్తం చేశారు.

విజ్ఞానమే సామాజిక ప్రగతికి చిహ్నమని నమ్మిన డాక్టర్ బి.ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ జయంతి రోజే ఈ అత్యాధునిక సాంకేతికతను అందుబాటులోకి తీసుకురావడం విశేషం. ఈ క్వాంటం టెస్ట్ బెడ్లు స్వదేశీ పరిజ్ఞానంతో రూపొందాయని, వీటి ద్వారా క్వాంటం హార్డ్వేర్ మరియు ఉపకరణాలను పరీక్షించి సర్టిఫై చేసే అవకాశం కలుగుతుందని సీఎం తెలిపారు. ముంబైలోని TIFR, బెంగళూరులోని IISc వంటి ప్రతిష్టాత్మక సంస్థల భాగస్వామ్యంతో కేవలం 8 నెలల్లోనే ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్ వాస్తవ రూపం దాల్చడం విశేషం.

రాష్ట్ర భవిష్యత్తును సాంకేతిక మౌలిక సదుపాయాలతో నిర్మిస్తున్నామని చంద్రబాబు పేర్కొన్నారు. ఐఐటీ చెన్నై, ఐబీఎం వంటి సంస్థల సహకారంతో సుమారు 45 లక్షల మంది యువతకు ఏఐ (AI), క్వాంటం కంప్యూటింగ్ మరియు డేటా సెక్యూరిటీ రంగాల్లో శిక్షణ ఇవ్వనున్నట్లు ప్రకటించారు. వచ్చే డిసెంబరు నాటికి Amaravati Quantum Valley పూర్తిస్థాయిలో అందుబాటులోకి వస్తుందని, ఇది ఔషధాల పరిశోధన, రక్షణ రంగం, మరియు క్లైమేట్ మోడలింగ్ వంటి విభాగాల్లో విప్లవాత్మక మార్పులు తీసుకువస్తుందని వెల్లడించారు. గూగుల్ వంటి దిగ్గజ సంస్థలు ఏపీలో భారీ పెట్టుబడులు పెట్టడం శుభపరిణామమని ఆయన కొనియాడారు.

Amaravati: Marking a historic milestone in India’s technological landscape, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu launched the nation’s first-ever Quantum Reference Facilities in Andhra Pradesh. Coinciding with World Quantum Day and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, the Chief Minister dedicated the ‘1S’ open-access facility at SRM University, Amaravati, and the ‘1Q’ quantum system at Medha Towers, Gannavaram, to the nation. He declared that Amaravati is now the launchpad for the ambitious Amaravati Quantum Valley project.
These facilities are designed to test and certify quantum hardware and semiconductors under extreme conditions, including temperatures as low as -273 degrees Celsius. Developed within just eight months using indigenous technology, the project saw collaborations with prestigious institutions like TIFR Mumbai, IISc Bangalore, and DRDO. This initiative positions Andhra Pradesh as the first state in India to possess such advanced quantum testbed infrastructure.
Empowering 45 Lakh Youth in AI and Quantum
During his address, CM Naidu emphasized that high-end technology should be accessible to every citizen. Through partnerships with IIT Madras and IBM, the state government aims to train 45 lakh individuals in AI, Quantum Computing, and Data Security. The Amaravati Quantum Valley, scheduled to be fully operational by December, is expected to drive innovations in drug discovery, logistics, defense research, and climate modeling. With Google planning a $15 billion investment in the state, the Chief Minister reiterated his vision of making Andhra Pradesh a global hub for deep-tech and innovation.
