MAVIGUN అన్ని ప్రాంతాల ‘అభివృద్ధి మంత్రం’ : జగన్
రాయలసీమ మేధావుల ఫోరం సమన్వయకర్త ‘మాకిరెడ్డి’తో కీలక వ్యాఖ్యలు
ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్లోని వెనుకబడిన ప్రాంతాలైన రాయలసీమ, ఉత్తరాంధ్రకు నిజమైన న్యాయం జరగాలంటే MAVIGUN విధానమే ఉత్తమ మార్గమని మాజీ ముఖ్యమంత్రి వైఎస్ జగన్ మోహన్ రెడ్డి స్పష్టం చేశారు. రాయలసీమ మేధావుల ఫోరం సమన్వయకర్త మాకిరెడ్డి పురుషోత్తమ రెడ్డితో ఆయన ఈ కీలక వ్యాఖ్యలు చేశారు.
‘మావిగన్ అంటే తిరిగి ఒకే ప్రాంతానికి పరిమితం కదా’ అన్న మాకిరెడ్డి పురుషోత్తమ్ రెడ్డి వ్యాఖ్యలకు జగన్ సమాధానం చెబుతూ, అమరావతి వంటి మెగా ప్రాజెక్టుల కోసం ప్రాథమిక వసతులకే లక్షల కోట్లు ఖర్చు చేయడం ఆర్థికంగా ఇబ్బందుల్లో ఉన్న ఏపీకి శ్రేయస్కరం కాదని, దీనివల్ల రాష్ట్ర సంపద అంతా ఒకే చోట కేంద్రీకృతమై ఇతర ప్రాంతాలు అభివృద్ధికి ఆమడదూరంలో ఉండిపోతాయని ఆయన ఆందోళన వ్యక్తం చేశారు.
ఒకే చోట అప్పులు, వనరులను కేంద్రీకరించడం వల్ల వెనుకబడిన జిల్లాలకు నిధుల కేటాయింపు అసాధ్యమవుతుందని జగన్ అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. దీనికి ప్రత్యామ్నాయంగా మచిలీపట్నం, విజయవాడ, గుంటూరు నగరాల కలయికతో కూడిన రాజధాని నమూనాను ఆయన ప్రతిపాదించారు.

MAVIGUN తోనే సమగ్ర అభివృద్ధి
మచిలీపట్నం, విజయవాడ, గుంటూరు నగరాలను అనుసంధానిస్తూ MAVIGUN చుట్టూ రాజధాని కార్యాలయాలను ఏర్పాటు చేస్తే కేవలం ‘పది వేల’ కోట్లతోనే పనులు పూర్తవుతాయని జగన్ వివరించారు. ఇలా ఆదా చేసిన భారీ నిధులను రాయలసీమలో సాగునీటి ప్రాజెక్టులకు, ఉత్తరాంధ్రలో పారిశ్రామిక అభివృద్ధికి ఖర్చు చేసే అవకాశం ఉంటుందని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు. అప్పుడు ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ మొత్తం సమగ్రాభివృద్ధి సాధ్యమవుతుందని ఆయన మేధావుల ఫోరానికి వెల్లడించారు.
రాష్ట్ర భవిష్యత్తును దృష్టిలో ఉంచుకుని, అన్ని ప్రాంతాల ప్రజల ఆకాంక్షలను నెరవేర్చడానికే ఈ ప్రతిపాదన చేసినట్లు జగన్ తెలిపారు. అన్ని ప్రాంతాల ప్రత్యేకతలను, ఆత్మగౌరవాన్ని MAVIGUN ద్వారా సాధ్యమవుతుందని చెప్పారు. నిధులను వెనుకబడిన ప్రాంతాల పురోభివృద్ధికి మళ్లించాలని ఆయన డిమాండ్ చేశారు. పాలన ‘మావిగన్’లో ఉండడం వలన ఆ ప్రాంతం కూడా సహజసిద్ధంగా అభివృద్ధి చెందుతుందని ఆయన పునరుద్ఘాటించారు.
‘MAVIGUN’ is the ‘development mantra’ for all regions: Jagan
Former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy stated that the MAVIGUN model is the best path to ensure genuine justice to the backward regions of Andhra Pradesh — Rayalaseema and North Andhra. He made these key remarks during a discussion with Rayalaseema Intellectuals Forum coordinator Makireddy Purushottam Reddy.
Responding to Makireddy’s observation that “MAVIGUN again limits development to one region,” Jagan said that spending lakhs of crores even for basic infrastructure for mega projects like Amaravati is not advisable for a financially stressed state like Andhra Pradesh. He expressed concern that such an approach would concentrate the state’s wealth in one location, leaving other regions far behind in development.
He opined that concentrating loans and resources in a single area would make it impossible to allocate adequate funds to backward districts. As an alternative, he proposed a capital model linking the cities of Machilipatnam, Vijayawada, and Guntur.
Comprehensive development through MAVIGUN
Jagan explained that by establishing capital offices around the MAVIGUN region connecting Machilipatnam, Vijayawada, and Guntur, the required works could be completed with just about ₹10,000 crore. The substantial funds saved, he said, could be diverted to irrigation projects in Rayalaseema and industrial development in North Andhra. That, he noted, would enable balanced and comprehensive development across Andhra Pradesh.
He stated that the proposal was made keeping the state’s future in mind and to fulfill the aspirations of people from all regions. Jagan said MAVIGUN would help preserve the uniqueness and self-respect of every region. He demanded that funds be redirected towards the development of backward areas. He reiterated that governance located in the MAVIGUN region would naturally lead to development there as well.
