MK Stalin Slams Centre Over Women's Quota and Delimitation

కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం విపక్షాలను అణచివేయడానికి ఒక Women’s Quota ఆయుధంగా ఉపయోగిస్తోందని తమిళనాడు ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఎంకే స్టాలిన్ తీవ్రస్థాయిలో ధ్వజమెత్తారు. రిజర్వేషన్ల అమలుపై కేంద్రానికి నిజంగా చిత్తశుద్ధి ఉంటే, జనాభా ప్రాతిపదికన చేపట్టే నియోజకవర్గాల పునర్విభజన (Delimitation) ప్రక్రియతో సంబంధం లేకుండా తక్షణమే దీనిని అమలు చేయాలని ఆయన డిమాండ్ చేశారు. పునర్విభజన సాకుతో మహిళా హక్కులను కాలరాయడం సరికాదని, ఇది కేవలం రాజకీయ ప్రయోజనాల కోసమే చేస్తున్న కుట్ర అని ఆయన విమర్శించారు.

జనాభా నియంత్రణను విజయవంతంగా అమలు చేసిన తమిళనాడు వంటి రాష్ట్రాలను శిక్షించేలా ఈ పునర్విభజన ప్రక్రియ ఉండకూడదని స్టాలిన్ స్పష్టం చేశారు. 1971 జనాభా లెక్కల ప్రకారమే నియోజకవర్గాల సంఖ్యను మరో 25 ఏళ్ల పాటు ఫ్రీజ్ చేయాలని ఆయన డిమాండ్ చేశారు. ఇదే సమయంలో అన్నాడీఎంకే అధినేత పళనిస్వామిపై కూడా ఆయన విరుచుకుపడ్డారు. రాష్ట్ర ప్రయోజనాలకు భంగం కలిగే అంశంపై ఈపీఎస్ మౌనంగా ఉండటం తమిళ ప్రజలకు చేసే ద్రోహమని, ఆయన బీజేపీకి వెనుక దారి గుండా సహకరిస్తున్నారని స్టాలిన్ ఆరోపించారు.

Delimitation మరియు రాష్ట్రాల హక్కులు

రాష్ట్రాల హక్కుల కోసం గళమెత్తడంలో డీఎంకే ఎప్పుడూ ముందుంటుందని, పునర్విభజన వల్ల తమిళనాడుకు జరిగే అన్యాయంపై అఖిలపక్ష సమావేశాన్ని కూడా నిర్వహించామని సీఎం గుర్తు చేశారు. అభివృద్ధి చెందిన రాష్ట్రాలను జనాభా ప్రాతిపదికన తక్కువ సీట్లతో తగ్గించడం సమాఖ్య స్ఫూర్తికి విరుద్ధమని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.

“తమిళనాడు పోరాడుతుంది – తమిళనాడు గెలుస్తుంది” అనే నినాదంతో ముందుకు వెళ్తామని, కేంద్రం తన మొండి వైఖరిని వీడాలని ఆయన హెచ్చరించారు. మహిళా రిజర్వేషన్ల అంశాన్ని రాజకీయ పాచికగా వాడుకోకుండా, తక్షణమే చట్టసభల్లో మహిళలకు ప్రాతినిధ్యం కల్పించేలా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని స్టాలిన్ డిమాండ్ చేశారు.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has accused the Union government of using the Women’s Quota as a strategic weapon to suppress the opposition rather than genuinely empowering women. In a recent interview, he stated that if the BJP-led Centre were truly committed to the cause, they would implement the reservation immediately instead of linking it to the post-census delimitation exercise. He emphasized that delaying women’s rights under the pretext of administrative procedures is a betrayal of the democratic spirit.

The CM expressed grave concerns regarding the proposed delimitation based on current population trends, arguing that it would unfairly penalize states like Tamil Nadu that have successfully implemented population control measures. He recalled DMK’s consistent efforts to freeze the delimitation process based on the 1971 Census to protect the political representation of southern states. Stalin also criticized AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami for his silence on this crucial issue, labeling it a disservice to the people of the state.

Protecting State Autonomy

Stalin highlighted that the DMK has been a pioneer in advocating for state rights, organizing meetings of Chief Ministers to discuss fair delimitation. He reiterated that any move to reduce the proportional representation of performing states would be met with stiff resistance.

The Chief Minister concluded by reaffirming the slogan “Tamil Nadu will struggle, Tamil Nadu will win,” asserting that the party will continue to fight against any central policies that undermine the state’s interests or use social justice issues for political maneuvering.
