మధ్యేమార్గంగా 150 మీటర్ల ఎత్తు: గతంలో 148 మీటర్లకు మహారాష్ట్ర అంగీకరించగా, 152 మీటర్లు నిర్మిస్తే ముంపు సమస్య వస్తుందని ఇంజనీరింగ్ నిపుణులు తెలిపారు. అందుకే మధ్యేమార్గంగా 150 మీటర్ల ఎత్తులో నిర్మిస్తే తక్కువ ఖర్చుతో, గ్రావిటీ ద్వారా శ్రీపాద ఎల్లంపల్లి రిజర్వాయర్కు నీటిని తరలించవచ్చని సీఎం అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. దీనివల్ల మహారాష్ట్రలో ముంపు ప్రభావం తక్కువగా ఉంటుందని, ఒకవేళ ముంపు వాటిల్లితే పరిహారం చెల్లించేందుకు తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం సిద్ధంగా ఉందని ఆయన స్పష్టం చేశారు. ఈ విషయంలో మహారాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాన్ని ఒప్పించేందుకు కేంద్ర మంత్రి కిషన్ రెడ్డి సహకారం కోరాలని నిర్ణయించారు.
100 టీఎంసీల నీటి వినియోగమే లక్ష్యం: ప్రాణహిత చేవెళ్ల ప్రాజెక్టుపై ఇప్పటికే రూ. 11 వేల కోట్లు ఖర్చు చేశామని, 150 మీటర్ల ఎత్తున బ్యారేజీ నిర్మిస్తే కనీసం 100 టీఎంసీల నీటిని వినియోగించుకునే వీలుంటుందని అధికారులు పవర్ పాయింట్ ప్రజెంటేషన్ ద్వారా వివరించారు. ఇప్పటికే 71.5 కిలోమీటర్ల మేర కాలువల పనులు పూర్తయినందున, బ్యారేజీ నిర్మాణం పూర్తయితే ఆదిలాబాద్ రైతులకు గొప్ప ఊరట లభిస్తుంది. అలాగే మేడిగడ్డ బ్యారేజీ పునరుద్ధరణ పనుల్లో భాగంగా జరుగుతున్న జియో టెస్టింగ్ పనులను వర్షాకాలం లోపు పూర్తి చేయాలని సీఎం అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు.

CM Revanth Reddy emphasized that the Telangana government is ready to pay compensation for any minimal submergence in Maharashtra. Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy has been tasked with coordinating with Union Minister Kishan Reddy to negotiate with the Maharashtra government for the necessary approvals.
Optimizing Existing Infrastructure: Officials presented a detailed report stating that the state has already invested ₹11,000 crore into the project, including the completion of 71.5 km of canals. Constructing the barrage at 150 meters will allow the state to utilize at least 100 TMC of water, maximizing the benefits of previously completed works. Furthermore, the CM instructed officials to fast-track geo-testing works at the Medigadda barrage to ensure restoration is completed before the onset of the monsoon. Ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao and MP Vem Narender Reddy were among the key attendees at this high-level meet.
