అమరావతి: ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ప్రభుత్వం విభిన్న ప్రతిభావంతులైన విద్యార్థుల్లో ఆత్మవిశ్వాసం నింపేందుకు ఒక సాహసోపేతమైన కార్యక్రమానికి శ్రీకారం చుట్టింది. సమగ్రశిక్ష ఆధ్వర్యంలో ప్రత్యేక అవసరాలు గల విద్యార్థుల బృందం చేపట్టనున్న Everest Base Camp అధిరోహణ యాత్రను రాష్ట్ర విద్య, ఐటీ శాఖల మంత్రి నారా లోకేశ్ మంగళవారం ప్రారంభించారు. దేశ చరిత్రలోనే మొదటిసారిగా విభిన్న ప్రతిభావంతులైన విద్యార్థుల బృందం ఎవరెస్ట్ యాత్రకు వెళ్లడం ఒక రికార్డు అని ఆయన కొనియాడారు.

Amaravati: In a historic move, the Andhra Pradesh government has launched an extraordinary initiative to boost the self-confidence of specially-abled students. Minister for Education and IT, Nara Lokesh, flagged off the Everest Base Camp expedition, organized by Samagra Shiksha, at Amaravati. This marks the first time in the country’s history that a group of specially-abled students is embarking on such a high-altitude adventure.
During the flag-off ceremony, Minister Lokesh encouraged the students, stating that physical disability is merely a challenge and can be overcome with grit and determination. He emphasized that the NDA government’s goal is to identify such talented individuals every year and support them in proving their mettle to the world. The students were provided with rigorous training by the Samagra Shiksha department to prepare them for the challenging trek.
A Global Message of Resilience
Highlighting the uniqueness of the program, Lokesh noted that while mountaineering is typically pursued by athletes, designing an Everest Base Camp trek for specially-abled students is a commendable feat by the education department. He expressed confidence that these students would return as inspirations for the entire nation. The Minister assured that the government would oversee all safety measures until the team returns from Nepal and promised a robust system to continuously encourage talented students across the state.
