విజయవాడ: దేశవ్యాప్తంగా సంచలనం సృష్టించిన విజయవాడ ఉగ్ర లింకుల కేసు దర్యాప్తు జాతీయ దర్యాప్తు సంస్థ (NIA) చేతికి వెళ్లనుంది. విదేశీ హ్యాండ్లర్ల ప్రభావం, యువతను ఉగ్రవాదం వైపు మళ్లించడం వంటి తీవ్రమైన నేరాల నేపథ్యంలో ఇప్పటికే ఈ విచారణలో ఎన్ఐఏ భాగస్వామ్యమైంది. విజయవాడతో పాటు మరో ఏడు రాష్ట్రాలతో ఈ నెట్వర్క్కు సంబంధాలు బయటపడటంతో, కేసు తీవ్రతను పరిగణనలోకి తీసుకుని ఎన్ఐఏ పూర్తి స్థాయిలో రంగంలోకి దిగనుంది. ఈ మేరకు కేసును తమకు అప్పగించాలని విశాఖపట్నంలోని ఎన్ఐఏ అధికారులు ఎన్టీఆర్ జిల్లా పోలీస్ కమిషనర్కు లేఖ రాశారు.
విజయవాడ కొత్తపేట పోలీసులు ఈ కేసులో ఇప్పటివరకు 13 మందిపై కేసు నమోదు చేయగా, 12 మందిని అరెస్ట్ చేశారు. ప్రస్తుతం రెండో విడతగా ఆరుగురు నిందితులను కస్టడీలోకి తీసుకుని విచారిస్తున్నారు. ఈ విచారణ ఈనెల 13వ తేదీ వరకు కొనసాగనుంది. నిందితులు పాకిస్తాన్, ఆఫ్ఘనిస్తాన్, సిరియా వంటి దేశాలకు చెందిన హ్యాండ్లర్లతో నిత్యం సంప్రదింపులు జరిపినట్లు పోలీసులు గుర్తించారు.

ఈ దర్యాప్తులో అత్యంత కీలకమైన ‘ఖవాతీన్’ వ్యవస్థ వెలుగులోకి వచ్చింది. కేవలం యువతనే కాకుండా, మహిళలను కూడా జిహాదీ కార్యకలాపాలలో భాగస్వాములను చేసేందుకు విదేశీ హ్యాండ్లర్లు ఈ గ్రూపును ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. సోషల్ మీడియా వేదికగా మహిళలను ఆకర్షించి, వారిని ఉగ్రవాద బాట పట్టించేలా ఈ గ్రూపు పనిచేసేది. హైదరాబాద్కు చెందిన సైదా బేగం ఈ ఖవాతీన్ గ్రూపును పర్యవేక్షించినట్లు కౌంటర్ ఇంటెలిజెన్స్ విభాగం గుర్తించింది. నిషేధిత ఐసిస్ (ISIS), అల్ ఖైదా వంటి సంస్థల తరపున పనిచేస్తున్న విదేశీ హ్యాండ్లర్లు నిందితులకు ఆదేశాలు ఇచ్చేవారని వెల్లడైంది.

Vijayawada: The sensational terror links case centered in Vijayawada is set to be transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Given the gravity of the offenses, including the influence of foreign handlers and the radicalization of youth, the NIA has already been collaborating with the Vijayawada police. With links spreading across seven states, the NIA has formally requested the NTR District Police Commissioner to hand over the complete investigation to their Visakhapatnam wing.
So far, Vijayawada’s Kothapeta police have booked 13 individuals and arrested 12. Currently, six accused are in a second round of police custody for interrogation, which will continue until April 13. Investigations reveal that the accused were in constant contact with foreign handlers based in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Syria, operating through sophisticated social media networks.
Exposure of ‘Khavateen’ – The Women’s Terror Wing
A startling revelation in the Vijayawada Terror Links Case is the emergence of ‘Khavateen,’ a dedicated group aimed at involving women in Jihadi activities. Foreign handlers utilized social media to lure women into this group. Counter-Intelligence officials identified Syeda Begum from Hyderabad as the supervisor of this wing. These handlers reportedly represent banned organizations like ISIS and Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent.
The investigation further disclosed that the accused managed over 40 Instagram accounts to maintain communication with international handlers like Al Hakim Shukur and others. These handlers allegedly provided digital training and documents on manufacturing Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), using black powder, and handling weapons through a group named ‘Benex Com.’ Teams from the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and NIA are currently scrutinizing the financial backgrounds and anti-national social media activities of the six accused currently in custody.
