కడప: వైఎస్సార్ కడప జిల్లాలో శుక్రవారం తీవ్ర విషాదం చోటు చేసుకుంది. ఖాజీపేట మండలంలోని కే.అగ్రహారం గ్రామంలో ఒక ఇంటర్మీడియట్ విద్యార్థిని అతికిరాతకంగా హత్యకు గురైంది. మానవత్వం మంటగలిసేలా జరిగిన ఈ సంఘటన స్థానికంగా తీవ్ర సంచలనం సృష్టించింది. మృతురాలిని ఇల్లూరి రామకీర్తన (16)గా గుర్తించారు. ఆవుల వెంకటేష్ అనే యువకుడు ఈ దారుణానికి ఒడిగట్టాడు.
అసలేం జరిగింది?
పోలీసుల కథనం ప్రకారం.. రామకీర్తన ఖాజీపేటలోని ఏపీ మోడల్ స్కూల్లో ఈ ఏడాది ఇంటర్ సెకండ్ ఇయర్ పూర్తి చేసింది. శుక్రవారం ఆమె తల్లిదండ్రులు వ్యవసాయ పనుల నిమిత్తం పొలానికి వెళ్లారు. ఇంట్లో ఎవరూ లేని సమయాన్ని చూసుకున్న నిందితుడు ఆవుల వెంకటేష్, ఇంటి తలుపుకు గడియ పెట్టి ఆమెతో గొడవకు దిగాడు. ఆమె వేరే వారితో మాట్లాడుతుందనే అనుమానంతో విచక్షణారహితంగా రామకీర్తన గొంతు కోసి అక్కడి నుండి పరారయ్యాడు. రామకీర్తన తండ్రి రామకృష్ణ ఇంటికి వచ్చి చూడగా, తన కుమార్తె రక్తపు మడుగులో పడి ఉండటం చూసి గుండెలు పగిలేలా రోదించారు. వెంటనే ఆమెను 108 వాహనంలో కడప రిమ్స్కు తరలించారు. అయితే, అప్పటికే ఆమె మార్గమధ్యంలో మృతి చెందినట్లు వైద్యులు ధృవీకరించారు.
ప్రేమ నిరాకరించిందని కక్ష
విచారణలో పలు ఆసక్తికర విషయాలు వెలుగులోకి వచ్చాయి. గత కొద్ది కాలంగా ఆవుల వెంకటేష్, రామకీర్తనను ప్రేమించాలంటూ వేధిస్తూ ఉండేవాడు. ఆమె ఒప్పుకోకపోవడంతో మనసులో కక్ష పెంచుకున్నాడు. ఈ క్రమంలోనే శుక్రవారం అనుమానంతో గొడవపడి ఆమెను దారుణంగా హత్య చేశాడు. ఇరువురు ఒకే కులానికి చెందిన వారు కావడం గమనార్హం. తమ కళ్ళ ముందు ఆడుతూ పాడుతూ అందరితో సరదాగా గడిపే రామకీర్తన ఇలా అకాల మరణం చెందడంతో గ్రామంలో విషాద ఛాయలు అలముకున్నాయి.

హత్య విషయం తెలుసుకున్న పోలీసులు వెంటనే స్పందించారు. నిందితుడు ఆవుల వెంకటేష్ను అదుపులోకి తీసుకుని మైదుకూరు పోలీస్ స్టేషన్లో విచారిస్తున్నారు. మరోవైపు, తమకు న్యాయం చేయాలంటూ గ్రామస్తులు కడప-కర్నూలు జాతీయ రహదారిపై ధర్నాకు దిగారు. గంటల తరబడి రాస్తారోకో చేయడంతో కిలోమీటర్ల మేర వాహనాలు నిలిచిపోయాయి. విషయం తెలుసుకున్న మైదుకూరు డీఎస్పీ రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్ అక్కడికి చేరుకుని గ్రామస్తులతో చర్చలు జరిపారు. దోషులను కఠినంగా శిక్షిస్తామని హామీ ఇవ్వడంతో గ్రామస్తులు శాంతించారు. గంటల పాటు సాగిన ఈ ధర్నా వల్ల ట్రాఫిక్కు తీవ్ర అంతరాయం కలిగింది. పోలీసులు రంగంలోకి దిగి ట్రాఫిక్ను క్లియర్ చేశారు.
Kadapa Student Murder : A tragic and brutal incident occurred in the YSR Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh on Friday, where an Intermediate student was brutally murdered. The incident took place in the K.Agraharam village of Khajipet mandal and has created widespread panic in the locality. The victim, Illuri Ramakeerthana (16), was brutally killed by a young man named Avula Venkatesh, who slit her throat.
What Actually Happened?
According to police sources, Ramakeerthana had just completed her second year of Intermediate at the AP Model School in Khajipet. On Friday, her parents had left for the fields for agricultural work. Taking advantage of the empty house, the accused, Avula Venkatesh, entered, locked the front door, and got into an argument with her. Suspecting that she was talking to someone else, he allegedly slit her throat in a frenzied attack and fled. Her father, Ramakrishna, upon returning, found his daughter lying in a pool of blood and was inconsolable. She was immediately rushed to Kadapa RIMS via a 108 ambulance but was declared brought dead by the doctors.
Stalking Leading to a Fatal Attack
Investigations have revealed that Avula Venkatesh had been stalking and harassing Ramakeerthana for quite some time, pressurizing her to enter into a relationship with him. Her refusal had enraged him, leading to the fatal attack on Friday. The victim and the accused reportedly belonged to the same community. The news of her death has cast a shadow of grief over the village, as she was known for her cheerful nature.
Police Investigation and Community Protest
The police reacted promptly to the murder report and have taken Avula Venkatesh into custody. He is currently being interrogated at the Mydukur Police Station. Meanwhile, the village residents, demanding justice for the victim, blocked the Kadapa-Kurnool National Highway. The prolonged road blockage caused significant traffic snarls, with vehicles lining up for kilometers. Mydukur DSP Rajendra Prasad, along with other police personnel, rushed to the spot and held talks with the protesters. Upon their assurance of strict action against the culprit, the residents called off the agitation. The police eventually managed to clear the traffic jam.
